New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department on Sunday issued heavy rainfall warning warnings in several states for the next four days.
With the advancement of monsoon in several parts of the country, heavy rainfall is predicted by IMD in the upcoming days. Delhi, Haryana, and Chandigarh is predicted to receive heavy rainfall on 20th June.
The IMD Chennai said that heavy rain thunderstorm with moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Dindigul, Theni, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Tiruchirappalli, Perambalur, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Tirupattur and Vellore districts of Tamilnadu.
The IMD further predicted instances of heavy rainfall over Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar for the next 2-3 days.
Under the influence of strong southwesterly winds, instances of extremely heavy rainfall are predicted in Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and parts of Kerala for the next 4-5 days.
