A new report from Forbes, published on Wednesday, shows that India has produced the highest number of immigrant billionaires currently living in the United States. The America’s Richest Immigrants 2025 list states that out of 125 foreign-born billionaires in the country, 12 were born in India, more than any other nation.
The number of immigrant billionaires in the US has gone up in recent years. In 2022, the total stood at 92. Now, it has reached 125, with these individuals coming from 43 different countries. Together, they represent about 14% of all American billionaires. Most of them have earned their fortunes after settling in the US.
The Indian-born billionaires mentioned in the report include well-known names such as Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, Jay Chaudhry, and Vinod Khosla. Other Indians on the list include Romesh Wadhwani, Rajiv Jain and Kavitark Ram Shriram.
