Jaishankar to Visit US, Hold High-Level Talks With Trump Administration

Date:

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will travel to the United States from Feb. 2 to 4 to participate in the Critical Minerals Ministerial convened by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Ministry of External Affairs said Sunday.

The ministerial is expected to focus on strengthening global supply chain resilience, advancing clean energy transitions and deepening strategic cooperation in the critical minerals sector — an area seen as vital for emerging technologies, electric mobility and energy security.

During his visit, Jaishankar will also hold meetings with senior members of the US administration to discuss bilateral and global issues of mutual interest.

The visit comes amid growing cooperation between India and the United States on clean energy, technology partnerships and reducing dependence on concentrated mineral supply chains.
