New Delhi: In a massive blow to the Indian side, pacer Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup due to back injury.
According to a report by PTI, a source close to BCCI claimed that Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup due to ‘back stress fracture’.
Earlier this week, BCCI in a tweet added that “Jasprit Bumrah complained of back pain during India’s practice session on Tuesday. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him.” He was further ruled out of the first T20I game against South Africa.
Bumrah missed out the Asia Cup after an injury. However, he returned to the squad and played against Australia.
With the World Cup approaching, the selection committee has to pick up the final squad and can make changes till October 9th before submitting the final list of players to the ICC.
