The Vice President’s first public appearance with her running mate is scheduled for Tuesday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a critical swing state where Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro is reportedly under consideration as a potential vice-presidential pick, according to reports.
Harris has already made headlines with record-breaking fundraising efforts and successful campaign events that have energised her base and narrowed Trump’s lead in the polls.
Kamala Harris’s nomination marks a historic milestone as she becomes the first Black and South Asian woman to lead a major US political party’s presidential ticket. If Harris wins against Trump, she would also make history as the first female president of the United States.
