Date:

A wildfire in Los Angeles intensified on Tuesday, spreading through a wealthy area as firefighters battled to control it during a powerful windstorm in Southern California.
Over 250 firefighters, supported by helicopters and fire trucks, have been working to contain the blaze, which started on 20 acres but rapidly grew to over 1,200 acres within hours.

Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley reported that no injuries have been reported yet, but more than 30,000 people have been ordered to evacuate. The fire still threatens more than 13,000 buildings and 10,000 homes.
