Maldives will just be a ferry ride away from India now

Date:

A hot favourite destination now is just a ferry ride away. The Maldives attracts a fairly decent number of Indian travellers every year. Keeping in mind the tourist influx between the two lands, recently a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The two leaders have agreed to get passenger and cargo services started via sea.

There were talks for the last eight years but the idea has only materialised now. The idea is taking shape now and soon enough there will be a ferry to connect Maldives and India.
