In the first game, both shuttlers were evenly matched initially, with the score tied at 4-4. Sindhu then broke away with a 10-point streak, demonstrating her superior skill and experience. Despite a brief rally from Razzaq, Sindhu comfortably closed out the game at 21-9.

The second game followed a similar pattern. Sindhu quickly took the lead, winning the first three points. Razzaq managed to narrow the gap to 4-3, but Sindhu’s relentless play soon widened the lead again. Razzaq struggled to keep up, and Sindhu sealed the match with a commanding 21-6 finish.

Rower Balraj Panwar delivered a clinical performance to qualify for the quarter-finals in men’s rowing at the Paris Olympics on Sunday. Competing in the men’s single sculls, Balraj finished second in the repechages with a timing of 7:12.41s. Hailing from Haryana, he is India’s sole representative in the event and displayed an impressive start, leading the race in its early stages.

As the race progressed, Balraj continued to challenge Monaco’s rower Quentin, with both athletes overtaking each other for the top position. In the final 200 meters, the competition intensified, but Quentin ultimately secured the top spot with a timing of 7:10.00s, while Balraj took second place. Indonesian rower La Memo finished third with a timing of 7:19.60s.
