- As he landed at the airport, PM Modi was greeted with a warm and enthusiastic reception from the Indian community in Singapore. The Prime Minister took a moment to interact with the gathered crowd, signing autographs and exchanging pleasantries.

- Earlier, PM Modi met Brunei’s Sultan, Hassanal Bolkiah on day 2 of his visit. Bolkiah is the second-longest ruling monarch in the world after the late Queen Elizabeth II. With an estimated net worth of around $30 billion, he was once the world’s richest person.
- PM Modi held bilateral talks with Sultan of Brunei at the Istana Nurul Iman, Sultan’s official residence in capital Bandar Seri Begawan.
- “Delighted to meet His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. Our talks were wide ranging and included ways to further cement bilateral ties between our nations. We are going to further expand trade ties, commercial linkages and people-to-people exchanges,” said PM Modi said in a post on X while sharing glimpses from his meeting.
- PM Modi and the Brunei Sultan had met earlier in November 2014, for the first time on the sidelines of 25th ASEAN Summit at Nay Pyi Taw and for the second time during the 2017 East Asia Summit held in Manila.
- On Tuesday evening, Prime Minister Modi visited Brunei’s iconic Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan. It was built by Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei and father of the incumbent Sultan.
- Members of the Indian community also greeted PM Modi who were present at the mosque.
- The prime minister was then hosted by the Sultan for a banquet lunch at Istana Nurul Iman Palace. Mango saffron peda and motichoor laddoo were among the few dishes served to PM Modi for lunch.
