Mumbai: After five members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) were arrested on Monday for vandalising the Public Works Department (PWD) office because of the authorities’ failure to take action against pothole menace in the city, four more were arrested on Tuesday for trying to destroy the roads outside Mantralaya, resenting against the same reason.
In a video, MNS party workers were seen trying to destroy the road outside the Mantralaya with pickaxes in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Apart from the heavy artilleries, the party workers were also seen throwing rocks on the road, while one of them was waving the party flag behind them.

In a similar attempt to bring such issues into notice using the hard way, a video was accessed on June 29, containing the worst and most cowardly form of political goondaism by the party members at a theatre in Pune, which drew enormous ire.
In the video, the party workers were seen in an angry confrontation with the theatre staff.
Meanwhile, in 2017 over 2,000 people lost their lives due to potholes across India.
