Providence Police Release First Video Of Suspect In Brown University Shooting

Date:

Hours after a deadly shooting at Brown University, the Providence Police Department on Saturday (December 14) released the first surveillance footage of the suspected gunman, as authorities intensified efforts to track him down.

Two people were killed and nine others injured when a shooter opened fire at the Ivy League campus earlier in the day. The suspect remains at large.

In the footage shared by the Providence Police Department on social media, the suspect is seen walking away from the university campus, dressed entirely in black. Police appealed to the public to carefully review the video and come forward with any information that could help identify or locate the individual.

The department urged anyone who recognises the suspect or has relevant details to contact law enforcement immediately. The FBI has also launched a dedicated online portal, inviting members of the public to submit photos, videos or tips related to the shooting.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and coordinated, with federal and local agencies working together to identify the shooter and establish the sequence of events leading up to the attack.
