pic.twitter.com/ZuXGUoddla

After his nomination, Rathore said, “I hope to get people’s support in large numbers. In history, every country was run with the guidance of sants and gurus. It is unfortunate that political leaders in India have parted their ways from sants, mahatmas and gurus and got engulfed in corruption.” “But I am moving ahead with blessing of my elders and guru,” he added.

While extending his support to Rathore, Ramdev said, “Rathore is the pride of India. Modi ji should again be given a chance to come to power. In all aspects, the nation is safe and secure in the hands of Modi Ji. Rathore is working towards the development and progress of his constituency.”
In the last five years, all I have earned is a chance to serve my nation & unconditional support of my people of Jaipur Rural.
Today while filing nomination, I took an oath to continue striking towards excellence to bring out the happiest version of Jaipur Rural. Jai Hind! pic.twitter.com/hkhdrnRNra

Rathore, who is a former Olympian, was elected as Lok Sabha MP from Jaipur rural seat and was sworn in as the Minister of State for information and Broadcasting in 2014.
However, in 2017, the Padma Shree awardee was given independent charge of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
He is contesting against the Congress candidate and sitting MLA Krishna Poonia. Both the leaders started their political career in 2013.
Rajasthan, which sends 25 MPs to the lower house of the parliament, goes to poll in two phases on April 29 and May 6. Results will be declared on May 23.
