The Oldest Person To Become PresidentÂ
At 78 years and seven months, Trump has become the oldest president. Former President Joe Biden was a few months younger, at 78 years and two months when he was sworn in as president in 2021.
Breaking The Beard Barrier

Schuyler Colfax, vice president from 1869-1873 with President Ulysses S. Grant, had a full beard. Charles A. Fairbanks, who served from 1905-1909 in the Theodore Roosevelt administration, had a thick goatee. ‘s vice president from 1912-1916, had a neat moustache. And in 2025, it’s JD Vance.Â
Trump’s Non-Consecutive Terms
Donald Trump was elected to his second presidential term on November 6, marking a rare moment for the United States. He became the second president to serve non-consecutive terms after former president Grover Cleveland was elected in 1884 and 1892.Â
Religion
JD Vance will be only the second Catholic vice president. Joe Biden became the first when he took office alongside then-President Barack Obama in 2009. Vance was raised a Protestant but was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Church in 2019.
In 2021, Biden became the second Catholic president after former President John F. Kennedy.
First Asian American Second Lady
Usha Vance became the first Asian American Second Lady. Born in San Diego, Usha Vance’s parents were immigrants from India. Usha Vance is the daughter of Telugu immigrants from India, Radhakrishna “Krish” Chilukuri, an aerospace engineer, and Lakshmi Chilukuri, the provost at the University of California, San Diego. JD Vance and Usha met while they were studying law at Yale University.
Melania- Foreign-Born First Lady

Slovenia-born Melania Trump moves into line to be the second-ever First Lady of the United States to be born outside of the United States. Before Melania became first lady in 2017, the only foreign-born first lady had been Louisa Adams, the wife of John Quincy Adams, who served as president from 1825 to 1829. Louisa Adams was born in London to an American father and a British mother and raised in France.
Melania Trump is the first naturalized citizen to become first lady, meaning she became a US citizen after completing the process.
