New Delhi: The fourth phase of the 18th Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is scheduled to be held on May 13th, with voters from 96 Lok Sabha constituencies across 10 states and Union Territories (UT) gearing up to cast their votes. With three phases already concluded on April 19, April 26, and May 7 respectively.
In total, 1,717 candidates from various parties will contest are set to contest in Phase 4 on May 13.

Among the notable contenders are Akhilesh Yadav from Samajwadi Party contesting from Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, Mahua Moitra representing Trinamool Congress in Krishnanagar, West Bengal, and Giriraj Singh of BJP in Begusarai, Bihar. Other prominent candidates include YS Sharmila from Congress in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, Arjun Munda from BJP in Khunti, Jharkhand, and Shatrughan Sinha representing Trinamool Congress in Asansol, West Bengal. Madhavi Latha of BJP will contest from Hyderabad, Telangana.
After the conclusion of the third phase, the overall voter turnout stood at 64.4 per cent, indicating a slight decline compared to the 2019 elections. The recently concluded Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Lok Sabha elections have seen a notable decrease in voter turnout compared to the 2019 polls, according to data released by the Election Commission. In Phase 1, which covered 102 seats on April 19th, the voter turnout stood at 66.14 percent, marking a decline from the 2019 turnout of 69.43 percent. Similarly, Phase 2, which covered 88 seats on April 26th, witnessed a turnout of 66.71 percent, down from 69.17 percent in 2019.
The remaining phases will take place on May 20th, May 25th, and June 1st, with results set to be declared on June 4th.
