Sydney Test: Pujara breaks Dravid’s record, Pant first keeper to hit test ton on Oz soil

After Cheteshwar Pujara shined in Sydney test with his 193-knock, wicketkeeper Rishab Pant slammed his second test ton on Friday.

Rishab Pant became the first Indian wicketkeeper to hit a century in Australia.

Pujara after lunch managed to add 12-runs before he returned to the pavilion at the score of 193.

Interestingly, Pujara broke Rahul Dravid’s record of facing the most number of balls by an Indian in a Test series in Australia. Pujara has so far faced 1,258 deliveries in the series, surpassing Rahul Dravid, who had faced 1,203 deliveries in the four-match Test series in 2003-04.

At the time of filing this report, India was: 564/6 with Rishab Pant (135*) and Ravindra Jadeja (51*) on the strike.

India is leading the ongoing Test series 2-1 and eying to clinch the final Test in order to register historic Test series win in Australia.
