Washington, D.C : US President Donald Trump has intensified his criticism of Iran, accusing Tehran of missing an opportunity to reach an agreement with Washington and warning that the country will face consequences.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed Iran’s military strength had been significantly weakened and described its armed forces as severely diminished.
“Iran’s Military is a complete and total mess. Much of it, like their Navy and Air Force, doesn’t even exist anymore. They have been completely defeated,” Trump wrote.
The US President also dismissed Iran’s military stance, stating, “Iran is all talk and no action. The Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!!!”
Trump linked his remarks to the ongoing impasse in negotiations between the two countries, arguing that Iranian leaders had failed to act in time to secure an agreement with the United States.
“They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!!” he wrote.
The comments mark a further escalation in rhetoric as diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran remain stalled.
