United States: US President Donald Trump said Monday that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to stop targeting each other’s energy infrastructure.
In a Truth Social post, Trump said Ukraine had agreed not to strike Russian energy facilities and that Moscow had made the same commitment. He also linked the recent global rise in diesel prices mainly to the Russia-Ukraine war rather than the conflict involving Iran.

Trump’s statement came a day after he criticised Kyiv over strikes on Russian oil refineries.
Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said the alliance would increase its support for Ukraine following Russian drone attacks near the Ukraine-Poland border. Rutte described the strikes close to NATO territory as a sign of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “desperation” and intention to spread fear.
“Russia is growing increasingly reckless as it continues its terrible war against Ukraine,” Rutte said.
Russia, however, dismissed concerns over the strike near the Polish border. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russian forces would continue carrying out operations across Ukraine.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that intensified Russian actions could potentially affect Polish territory, particularly as Russia targets Ukrainian border areas and crossings.
