US President Donald Trump has warned Iran against responding to the latest American strikes on Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz, saying Tehran could face significantly stronger attacks if it retaliates.
US Central Command said American forces began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets in Iran at 12 p.m. ET. The military said the operation followed attempted IRGC attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and US service members in the Middle East.

Trump described the strikes as “very justified” and warned that an even larger attack could follow. “If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran!” he wrote on Truth Social.
Iranian state media reported that four projectiles struck areas in Chabahar and Konarak, east of the Strait of Hormuz, without specifying any damage.
The US had also struck Iran’s Larak island on Sunday, targeting rocket launchers. Iran later launched missiles at US bases in Jordan, while the UAE said it intercepted an Iranian drone over its waters.
