New Delhi: Australia achieved their biggest win in the ODI World Cup, securing a historic 309-run margin victory against the Netherlands in Delhi.
It registered the most significant win in ODI World Cup history, surpassing its own previous record. Australia had previously defeated Afghanistan by 275 runs in the 2015 edition at Perth.
It stands as the second-largest victory in ODI cricket history, surpassed only by India’s 317-run triumph against Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram earlier this year.
In it’s previous tournament match, South Africa achieved the eighth-largest World Cup victory, defeating England by a margin of 229 runs at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
