India considers Microsoft to be the most attractive employer, followed by Amazon, according to a survey done Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) 2018. Other employers that made it to the top ten include Hindustan Lever, IBM India, ITC group, Larsen & Toubro, Mercedes-Benz India, Samsung India, Sony India and Tata Consultancy Services.
In the IT sector Tata Consultancy Services is the most favoured, Larsen & Toubro tops Infrastructure and construction and Hindustan Unilever emerges the winner in FMCG.
Salary and employee benefits are the most important factors while choosing an employer followed by work-life balance, job security, career progression and strong management. People work for “cultures, not companies”, so their perception of an employer is critical, said the survey.
The Indian workforce finds the IT and ITeS sector (69 percent) the most attractive to work in, followed by automotive (68 percent) and retail and FMCG (67 percent), the survey revealed.
