Aamir Khan is all set to return to the silver screen with Sitaare Zameen Par, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. On Monday, Aamir Khan Productions lifted the curtain on the much-anticipated film by releasing its first poster and officially announcing the release date — June 20, 2025.

A sequel of the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, the upcoming film promises a blend of heart, humour, and hope. Sharing the first look on social media, the production house captioned it: “A film celebrating love, laughter, and happiness.” The poster features Aamir Khan alongside 10 young debutants, sparking intrigue and excitement among fans.

Marking Aamir’s comeback after a long hiatus, the film stars Genelia Deshmukh as the female lead. Sitaare Zameen Par also serves as a launchpad for a group of fresh talents — Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.

Directed by RS Prasanna, best known for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the film is produced by Aamir Khan in collaboration with Aparna Purohit. Music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy helms the soundtrack, with lyrics penned by acclaimed lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya. The screenplay comes from the pen of Divy Nidhi Sharma.

With its promising ensemble and heartfelt premise, Sitaare Zameen Par is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year. As the countdown to June 20 begins, audiences are eager to see whether the film can recreate the magic of its predecessor — while offering a whole new constellation of stars.
