Legendary singer Asha Bhosle, 92, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday following extreme exhaustion and a chest infection.

Reacting to the news, Narendra Modi said he is deeply concerned to hear about Asha Bhosle’s hospitalisation and prayed for her good health and a speedy recovery.

Asha Bhosle, one of India’s most celebrated voices, began her career in 1943 with the Marathi film Majha Bal. Over the decades, she became known for iconic songs such as “Piya Tu Ab To Aaja,” “Jaiye Aap Kahan Jayenge,” and “Rangeela Re.” She later expanded her repertoire with ghazals and classical-based tracks, showcasing her versatility.
