Mumbai: The trailer of Awarapan 2 was unveiled on August 6, marking Emraan Hashmi’s return as Shivam Pandit nearly 19 years after the original film.
The sequel promises a darker story centred on revenge, redemption and the consequences of the past, with Disha Patani joining the cast as Zara.
The one-minute-25-second trailer features an older, battle-scarred Shivam, haunted by his past and determined to settle old scores. Blending emotional moments with high-octane action, the promo retains the franchise’s signature tone while introducing a more intense narrative.
Disha Patani appears in a powerful action-oriented role, while veteran actor Shabana Azmi plays Nafisa. The cast also includes Puran Gabbi as Zorawar, Anirudh Rawal as Sikandar, Surendar Vicky as Jaideep, Vijayant Kohli as Mehmood and Atul Kumar as Samarth.
The trailer is backed by Tera Mera Rishta, composed by Mithoon and sung by Saaj Bhatt and Subodhh Sharma. The film’s soundtrack also features Ve Junoon, Yeh Awarapan and Toh Phir Aao, with music by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad.
Presented by Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films, Awarapan 2 is directed by Nitin Kakkar, written by Bilal Siddiqui and produced by Vishesh Bhatt. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2026, with Pen Marudhar handling its All India distribution.
