Producer Bhushan Kumar and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri are set to partner for a new feature film based on Operation Sindoor. The project will be a joint production between T-Series and Agnihotri’s I Am Buddha Productions, with Agnihotri serving as director.
The film is reportedly inspired by the Indian military’s targeted strikes on terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These operations, codenamed Operation Sindoor, were conducted in May 2025 as a retaliatory response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam the previous month. The April 2025 attack resulted in the deaths of several civilians, primarily tourists, leading to a significant military escalation.
While Agnihotri has not officially confirmed the title, he recently acknowledged developing a “large-scale nationalistic project” to be announced soon. This collaboration follows the director’s completion of his “Files” trilogy, which concluded with the release of The Bengal Files in late 2025.
T-Series comes into this partnership following the commercial performance of Border 2, which released earlier this year. Details regarding the primary cast and production timeline for the Operation Sindoor project have not yet been disclosed. Ind
