The shocking murder of senior NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique has left not just the political world in mourning but has deeply affected Bollywood as well. Siddique, a three-time MLA from Bandra West, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Mumbai’s Bandra East on Saturday night. As news of his tragic death spread, several Bollywood stars rushed to Lilavati Hospital to pay their last respects and console his grieving family.
Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty Among Early Visitors
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, known for his close friendship with Baba Siddique, was among the first to arrive at Lilavati Hospital on Sunday morning. Deeply shocked by the news, Salman reportedly cancelled his shoot for Bigg Boss 18 and rushed to the hospital to offer condolences to Siddique’s son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, and the rest of the family.

Actress Shilpa Shetty, accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra, also arrived at Lilavati Hospital to pay tribute to the late leader. Shilpa, visibly emotional, broke down in tears as she left the hospital after meeting the grieving family. The actress shared a long-standing bond with Siddique and his family, and the news of his sudden death has left her heartbroken.

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who shares a close personal and professional connection with the Siddique family, was seen arriving at the hospital shortly after the incident. His sister Priya Dutt also joined him to extend support to the family.
Riteish Deshmukh, deeply saddened by the news, shared an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter): “Extremely saddened and shocked beyond words to know about the tragic demise of Baba Siddiqui ji. My heart goes out to Zeeshan Siddiqui and the entire family. May God give them the strength and courage in this difficult time. The criminals who committed this horrific crime must be brought to justice.”

Actor Zaheer Iqbal, another close friend of the Siddique family, also made his way to the hospital after hearing about the incident. Veer Pahadia, the brother of Janhvi Kapoor’s rumored boyfriend Shikhar Pahadia, was also spotted outside Lilavati Hospital, paying his respects to the family.
Baba Siddique was killed while bursting firecrackers outside his son Zeeshan’s office on the occasion of Dussehra. Three assailants, with their faces covered, emerged from a vehicle and opened fire using a 9.9mm pistol. Siddique was hit by three bullets, one of which struck him in the chest, leading to his death.
Mumbai Police have confirmed that two suspects have been arrested, and the weapon used in the crime has been recovered. However, one of the attackers remains at large, and the police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
