New Delhi: In what could be an embarrassment for the grand old Congress, the party on Saturday posted an old video on their twitter handle in which people were chanting slogans against Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje at a public event claiming that it was taken at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Jaipur on July 7th.
Hey @facebook we’re unable to upload this video on our facebook page https://t.co/NPOcx4pW6n. Can you tell us why? Or should we ask @rsprasad? pic.twitter.com/ol4TEiF9Zr

PM Modi was in Jaipur on Saturday to lay the foundation stone for 13 urban infrastructure projects and meet the beneficiaries of central and state-run public welfare schemes.

Over 2 min video was also tweeted by Divya Spandana, who handles Congress’ social media and digital communications strategy.
Tried uploading this video on @facebook but for some strange reason, Facebook is not publishing it. Can you guys try and revert?
It’s a video from @narendramodi rally today in Jaipur. pic.twitter.com/t5SSIZpnsW— Divya Spandana/Ramya (@divyaspandana) July 7, 2018
But, the video was not PM Modi’s July 7th rally as the video already posted in March on several YouTube channels.
Congress party admitted the Goof-up and tweeted saying:
“Oops..this video was taken in Jhunjhunu and not in Jaipur, where CM Vasundhara Raje and PM Modi were present, as the infighting between the BJP cadre broke out.”

Meanwhile, BJP Cyber Cell chief, Amit Malviya took a jibe at the Congress Party as he said that Congress scored a ‘self-goal on twitter’.
Congress scores a self goal (as always) on Twitter. Claims a 5 month old video is from the prime minister’s rally in Jaipur on Saturday. https://t.co/42hQjGko2n
