In the latest edition of ELLE magazine’s September edition, Deepika Padukone donned a vintage avatar with bold winged eyeliner and a bouffant-like hairdo.
In the close-up shot, she is seen wearing an embellished shiny black outfit with puffed-up shoulders.

“We weren’t a family that watched too many films. Dad was an athlete. Growing up, my sister and my childhood was all about school, cycling, playing outside… And it’s strange, but every time I watched them [the films], I felt like this is what I’m going to be doing. Even though there was no film connection.”
Interestingly, the cover photos reminds of late singer Amy Winehouse, who was all about drama and going big and bold, and her signature style was all about exaggerated hair looks and bold make-up. Winehouse usually opted for bright red or nude lips, a hint of blush, and a super dramatic thick wing eyeliner that almost reached the eyebrows.
