New Delhi: Football fans in Delhi-NCR will be able to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 final at restaurants, cafes and bars until 4 am after the Delhi government allowed eligible establishments to remain open for the late-night match.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the relaxation, saying it is part of the government’s 24×7 business-friendly operating framework under its ease of doing business reforms. Defending champions Argentina will face Spain at the New York New Jersey Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 12:30 am IST on July 20.
Several venues across Delhi-NCR, including Quoin (Novotel Aerocity), Grappa (Shangri-La Eros), Manhattan Bar & Brewery, Dear Donna, Gonzo, BeeYoung Brewgarden and 145 Cafe & Bar, will host live screenings from 11:30 pm onwards.
The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) welcomed the move, saying hundreds of restaurants are preparing for one of the busiest nights of the year, with most venues not charging extra for screenings.
Delhi Police said security and traffic arrangements have been put in place to ensure the safety of visitors and smooth movement throughout the night.
The extended operating hours are expected to boost the hospitality sector while allowing football fans to enjoy the tournament finale together.
