‘Devara’ Box Office Collection: Jr NTR’s Film Rakes in ₹164 Crore in Just 3 Days

Date:

Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1 has taken the box office by storm, marking a massive success in the Tollywood superstar’s career. Directed by Koratala Siva, this action-packed saga has captivated audiences across India, and the numbers are here to prove it!

Devara has kicked off its box office journey with an astounding ₹82.5 crore on its opening day. The momentum continued through the weekend, with the film raking in ₹39 crore on Saturday and ₹42 crore on Sunday. This brings the total domestic box office collection to a whopping ₹164 crore in three days across all languages.

Mind you, the film was released on September 27.

The Telugu version of the film dominated with ₹128.45 crore, while its Hindi version brought in ₹27.5 crore. Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions contributed with ₹3.1 crore, ₹1.05 crore, and ₹0.9 crore, respectively.

One of Devara‘s biggest triumphs comes from the Nizam region, where it collected a phenomenal ₹33.04 crore over the weekend, further cementing Jr NTR’s box office pull. With such staggering numbers, it is already on course to surpass the ₹200 crore mark domestically within the coming days.

Internationally, Devara is also proving to be a strong contender, earning ₹172 crore at the global box office on its opening day. Inching towards the ₹300 crore global mark, it is only a matter of time before Devara becomes one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Trade analysts predict that with a stronghold during the weekdays and the upcoming Gandhi Jayanti holiday, the film will comfortably enter the ₹200 crore club in India within the first week.

The film has performed exceptionally well in mass centres, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Even cities in North India, like Bhubaneswar, known for their love of mass entertainers, have been driving solid business. On Sunday, Devara recorded a 65.35% occupancy in Telugu, with Hindi shows at 28.62%, Tamil at 32.38%, and Kannada at 31.55%, showcasing its wide-reaching appeal.

Devara has already surpassed the lifetime collection of Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram within just three days. With ₹164 crore in its opening weekend, Devara outperformed Guntur Kaaram’s ₹127 crore by an impressive 29%. This makes Devara the third-highest-grossing Tollywood film of 2024, behind Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD and Teja Sajja’s HanuMan.

With Jr NTR playing dual roles as Devara and Varadha and a stellar cast including Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Prakash Raj, Devara is packed with intense drama, action, and conflict. Fans are already buzzing about the film’s sequel, which is in early discussions, and are eagerly awaiting more from this powerful duo of Jr NTR and director Koratala Siva.
