In 1998, Disney’s ‘Halloweentown’ was the talk of the town when it started and now it is a classic holiday classic which was seen by families and kids. The original movie was filmed in St. Helens, Oregon, and since then, there a full-on celebration to pay ode to ‘Halloweentown’.
It is a month long festival that kicks off on October 1 every year, and the entire town looks like a scene that is coming straight out of the television screen. This time, however, the lead actor, Kimberly J. Brown who played Marine, will not be present in the town during the festival.
Although the town will be full of the fall festivities and sights, the massive pumpkin placed in front of city hall will leave you mesmerized and in good spirits.
The grand festivities will include food and one can see vendors showcasing traditional fall items such as homemade pies and cakes, chilli, chowder, caramel apple, Halloween candies, and there would be food-focused events like International Cheese Display and Charcuterie Selection, Bloody Mary’s and Bagels with Marnie, and many more.
Besides food, other activities include haunted tractor rides, a scarecrow contest, and a masquerade ball. One of the activities that should not be missed if you are there is giant pumpkin lighting on October 8.
So, start planning your Halloween costumes and decoration ideas and be a part of the frenzy.
