Tech billionaire and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has launched a new initiative, pledging to give away $1 million per day to registered voters in the battleground state of Pennsylvania until the upcoming US presidential election on November 5.
Musk’s announcement, shared widely on social media, has sparked both excitement and controversy as it coincides with his continued support for Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Musk made the announcement via a video post on X (formerly known as Twitter). In the viral video, Musk revealed that his political organization, AmericaPAC, will oversee the daily giveaways as part of an effort to rally support for a pro-constitution petition the group is circulating. The petition, according to Musk, is designed to galvanize support for constitutional rights and the broader political campaign to secure Trump’s return to the White House.
Musk wasted no time following through on his promise, selecting John Dreher, a Pennsylvania voter present at the announcement, as the first recipient of the $1 million check.
AmericaPAC, the organization Musk founded, has become a powerful force in Trump’s campaign, focusing particularly on mobilizing voters in key swing states like Pennsylvania. According to federal disclosures, Musk has already donated over $75 million to the group.
Earlier, Musk offered a $47 referral bonus to every registered US voter who encouraged others to sign the petition supporting free speech and Second Amendment rights.
