FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found the claims to be false.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes led us to a YouTube video titled: “PM Modi holds the BJP Parliamentary Party Meet!” published on the official YouTube channel of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on August 8, 2023. The video shows some glimpses of the BJP parliamentary party meeting held by Modi inside the parliament and a few keyframes of the video match with the viral clip.

Checking further, we found another YouTube video published on the official channel of DD News, showing a news bulletin from the same day reporting on the parliamentary meeting called by PM Modi. We can see more visuals that match with the viral clip confirming that the former have been edited into the latter to spread misinformation.

Business Standard, too, reported on the parliamentary meeting called by Modi.

Meanwhile, there has been no substantial post or reports stating that PM Modi went to watch Gadar 2 in a theatre. Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video, claiming PM Modi went to a theatre to watch Gadar 2 with his entire team, is false.
