The global sensation British rock band Coldplay is all set to perform in India, and Mumbai’s Coldplay fans are gearing up for the band’s much-anticipated “Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025”. The excitement, however, has led to skyrocketing prices of hotel tariffs. As Coldplay is scheduled to perform at DY Patil Stadium on January 18th, 19th, and 21st, room rates at nearby hotels have surged upto Rs 3 – Rs 5 lakh for a three-night stay.
Hotels around DY Patil Stadium and in Navi Mumbai have seen a surge in demand, with some rooms priced as high as Rs 3 lakh- Rs 5 lakh per night. A quick search on MakeMyTrip for the weekend of January 18-19, 2025, showed a sharp rise in hotel prices, with rates far above the usual.
The Courtyard by Marriott Navi Mumbai, popular due to its proximity to the stadium, has already sold out on most booking platforms. For earlier dates, such as January 8-9 or January 9-10, rooms at the Courtyard are listed at ₹18,500 per night, excluding taxes.
Another nearby hotel, the Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel, located just 3.1 km away, has set its rate at ₹1,20,750 per night, with around ₹22,000 in taxes added.
Similarly, The Park Navi Mumbai has rooms available starting at ₹93,930, with an additional ₹25,250 in taxes for the concert dates.
Meanwhile, The Fern Residency Turbhe, located 12.8 km from the city center, still has rooms for around ₹30,000. Other hotels, like Ramada by Wyndham Navi Mumbai, are also seeing price hikes, with rooms available for ₹45,000 per night. This unprecedented demand for hotels and tickets highlights just how eagerly Coldplay is being awaited in India.
