Released on June 6, the film has struck a chord with audiences across India, collecting ₹91.83 crore in just three days.
According to Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Housefull 5 grossed ₹24.35 crore on Friday, ₹32.38 crore on Saturday, and peaked with ₹35.10 crore on Sunday, taking its total weekend collection to a staggering ₹91.83 crore. “#Housefull5 has been embraced across the board,” Adarsh wrote on X, hailing the film’s performance as a sign that well-made mass entertainers continue to dominate the box office. He added, “Well begun is half done… all eyes now turn to Monday – the crucial make-or-break day.”

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner, Housefull 5 continues the legacy of the wildly popular franchise that began in 2010. This fifth instalment raises the stakes with a thrilling comic twist and an ensemble cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh.
The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and Nargis Fakhri in prominent roles. Veteran actors Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangda Singh, and Chunky Panday, along with comic stalwarts like Johnny Lever and Shreyas Talpade, round out the star-studded lineup.
Adding a unique twist to its theatrical release, Housefull 5 is being screened in two alternate endings—Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B—a bold move that has intrigued audiences and sparked lively debate online about which version is better.
This is Akshay Kumar’s third theatrical release of 2025, following Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2. While Kesari Chapter 2 opened with ₹29.5 crore and Sky Force reached ₹62.25 crore over its first weekend, Housefull 5 has comfortably outpaced both, marking his most successful opening of the year.
