Here’s another feather in director Payal Kapadia’s cap. She is the first Indian director nominated in the Best Director category at the Golden Globe Awards. Her film, All We Imagine As Light, has also earned a nomination for Best Motion Picture in a Non-English Language at the 82nd edition of the prestigious awards.
The director reacted to the nomination and thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for the recognition.
Payal said: “I’m deeply honoured by this nomination and grateful to the HFPA for this recognition. This is a celebration of everyone who worked so passionately on the film. To everyone in India, All We Imagine as Light is still in theatres—please go watch it and support us!”
