Arun Rupesh Maini, the Indian-origin YouTuber renowned as Mrwhosetheboss, has achieved a remarkable feat by constructing the world’s largest functional iPhone, earning a Guinness World Record. The oversized iPhone 15 Pro Max towers at an impressive height of 6.74 feet and includes several unique features that make it both a spectacle and a functional device.
Maini collaborated with Matthew Perks, known in the DIY community as DIYPerks, to bring this colossal project to life. The record-breaking iPhone is not just a giant replica; it’s fully operational. What sets this massive iPhone apart is its functionality. Built with an 88-inch OLED TV, the giant phone can send texts, emails, run all apps, and even take photos. It also features lighting and a charging socket capable of fitting the world’s largest USB-C cable.
In an interview with Guinness World Records (GWR), Maini expressed his excitement and pride, saying, “Growing up, I would spend hours in the library reading the latest Guinness World Records books, so to achieve a record myself feels absolutely surreal. It’s a full-circle moment, and I’m thrilled with what our team and Matt have accomplished.”
The video of the giant iPhone, posted on September 6, has quickly gone viral, racking up more than 2.5 million views. It is currently trending at number 16 on YouTube, attracting significant attention from viewers and tech enthusiasts worldwide.
