Dubai: Team India lifted their third ICC Champions Trophy title after defeating New Zealand by four wickets in a thrilling final at the Dubai International Stadium. A collective team effort, led by a captain’s knock from Rohit Sharma, a composed innings from Shreyas Iyer, and match-winning spells from the spinners, ensured India’s triumph in the ninth edition of the tournament.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the Team of the Tournament on Monday, heavily featuring Indian players. Despite India’s dominant campaign, skipper Rohit Sharma and vice-captain Shubman Gill were notable omissions from the squad.

India’s success was reflected in the ICC’s Team of the Tournament, with five Indian players making the cut. Batting stalwarts Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul found a place in the lineup, while the bowling department was represented by Mohammed Shami and Varun Chakaravarthy. Axar Patel was named as the 12th man.
