BTS’ Jimin has broken records with his solo track ‘Who’, which has become the first K-pop solo song to spend its first three weeks in the Top 25 of the UK’s Official Singles Chart.
In July, Jimin’s solo title Who made a strong debut, reaching No. 4 on the Official Singles Chart. This has marked his highest solo position on the chart so far.
On August 9, the Official Charts confirmed that Who remained at No. 25, setting a new record as the first song by a Korean solo artist to stay in the top 25 for its first three weeks. Who held the No. 1 spot on both the Official Singles Sales Chart and the Official Singles Downloads Chart for three consecutive weeks.
Who is the lead single from Jimin’s second solo album, MUSE. Shortly after its release, the song quickly climbed the global Spotify charts, securing the top position on the daily chart.
In the music video of Who, Jimin is seen roaming in the streets at night, searching for his “love.” He sings about a longing for someone he has never met, and dances with a group of dancers.MUSE consists of seven tracks by Jimin, including Closer Than This, the pre-release single Smeraldo Garden Marching Band featuring Loco, and the lead track Who.
The album debuted at No. 2 on the South Korean Circle Album Chart, with over 771,000 copies sold in its first week. It also made its debut at No. 3 on Japan’s Oricon Albums Chart, selling over 83,000 physical copies.
