Prime Video has unveiled the premiere date for its upcoming Amazon Original Series, Love Storiyaan. Crafted by Somen Mishra, the six-part series delves into the heartwarming chronicles of real-life love stories featuring six couples from diverse backgrounds across the country. Captured through the lenses of directors Akshay Indikar, Archana Phadke, Collin D’Cunha, Hardik Mehta, Shazia Iqbal, and Vivek Soni, the series is a Dharmatic Entertainment Production, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra as executive producers.
Inspired by tales showcased on the India Love Project, founded by former journalists Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman, Love Storiyaan is set to captivate audiences with its authentic portrayal of love, challenging societal norms and transcending boundaries.
Aparna Purohit, Head of Originals, India and Southeast Asia at Prime Video was quoted in a report by Bollywood Hungama. She emphasized the series’ commitment to reflecting the diversity of the audience and connecting with their hearts. She stated, ‘Love Storiyaan” opens the door to uplifting stories that intricately weave a delicate tapestry, promising to resonate with viewers on a deep emotional level.’
On the other had, Karan Johar of Dharmatic Entertainment said he sees Love Storiyaan as more than just retelling love stories; it explores love in all its forms, creating a beautiful canvas of connections that surpass the ordinary. The series not only marks a collaboration with Dharmatic Entertainment but also extends the successful partnership with Dharma Productions. Karan Johar also expressed delight in bringing real stories of real people to audiences worldwide through Prime Video, showcasing tales of perseverance and tenacity that navigate cultural, faith, gender, and war-related barriers in the pursuit of true love.
