Johar shared that Streep has been a major influence on his understanding of acting and storytelling. He noted that he has watched The Devil Wears Prada multiple times and often referred to it in discussions. Meeting her in person left him overwhelmed, though he tried to stay composed.
He also mentioned that both Streep and Hathaway were warm and welcoming, and that he had a meaningful interaction with them during the event.
The sequel reunites the original creative team, including director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, along with returning cast members. The film also introduces several new actors, expanding its ensemble.
