Kolkata Knight Riders officially launched their playing kit for the 2026 Indian Premier League on Saturday, introducing a design themed “Lines of Legacy.” The new jersey retains the franchise’s traditional purple and gold color palette but incorporates a distinct linear art pattern across the torso.

According to official team statements, the design features intersecting gold lines that represent significant milestones in the club’s history, including Brendon McCullum’s century in the 2008 opener and Rinku Singh’s five consecutive sixes. The kit transition comes as the franchise prepares for its first match of the season against Mumbai Indians on March 29.
The launch was accompanied by a digital campaign featuring actor Rajat Bedi and comedian Anirban Dasgupta, aimed at integrating Kolkata’s local culture with the team’s visual identity. The side panels and shoulders see a return to more prominent gold accents compared to the previous year’s minimalist approach.
Team management confirmed that the new merchandise will be available for fans through the official team store and select retail partners starting this week. The 2026 squad, featuring new additions like Cameron Green and Matheesha Pathirana, is expected to begin their final pre-season camp at Eden Gardens shortly before their first home fixture on April 2.
