For years, France has been the top tourist destination in the world, however, the new research from Euromonitor International, a new trend has caught up. According to reports, China is likely to take over France and become the world’s top tourist destination by 2030.
According to a consultant at Euromonitor, Wouter Geerts, the fast economic growth across Asia became liberal with the visa restrictions for China and the majority of middle class shifting to places with higher incomes in places such as Hong Kong and Taiwan has resulted in more visitors to China according to reports.

During the sports events in China such as 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics has also seen an increase in the worldwide tourism to the country. With the Middle Kingdom’s place in China being the most popular tourist attraction, the largest number of international travellers will also be seen in China in addition to the inbound travellers.
The reports of the United Nations World Tourism Organization show that the international tourism expenditure of China increased to $261 billion in the year 2016 which was twelve percent more than 2015 and 11 times more than the price spent on it a decade earlier.
