New Delhi: The counting for all 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh is underway. The BJP-led NDA is leading in 37 seats while the INDIA bloc is ahead in 42 as per the latest trends available on the website of the election commission. The Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) was also leading on one seat.
Among the key Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, PM Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav were leading from the Varanasi, Lucknow, Rae Bareli and Kannauj Lok Sabha seats, respectively.
While the NDA is leading in 37 seats, the INDIA bloc is leading in 42 seats (SP in 35 and Congress in 7), as per the latest trends available on the Election Commission website. Chandrashekhar of the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) is leading in Nagina.
