At McLaren, we refuse to accept what’s gone before. We find a different way. A better way. To discover new ideas.
It’s why we push further. Look beyond convention. And how we see past it – to where others don’t.#McLaren. Some see more 08. 12. 18https://t.co/tKME5mVdTt pic.twitter.com/SkMbYZACCh

Estimates, keeping in mind the history and past of the company models, say that the supercar might gain a few kilos owing to the transition from a coupe to a convertible. The 0- 60 mph sprint is also estimated to be a bit lower than the 720s Coupe’s 2.8 second mark. One is also expecting the powertrain to be almost the same as that on the coupe, imparting the car with 710 hp and 770 Nm of torque.
The new 720s Spider will be revealed online at 20:10 GMT on Saturday, 8th December, 2018.
