Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has received a major boost ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, with all-rounder Nitish Reddy fully recovering from a side strain injury. Reddy, who was forced to miss India’s Champions Trophy squad due to the setback, has successfully cleared a fitness test and is now ready to rejoin the team.
His return comes at a crucial time for SRH, which is looking to bounce back after last season’s heartbreaking final defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In the 2024 IPL season, the 22-year-old made a significant impact, scoring 303 runs at a strike rate of 142.2 and picking up three wickets.
According to reports, Reddy passed the mandatory Yo-Yo test with a score of 18, demonstrating his improved fitness. He also participated in a practice match on Friday, bowling without discomfort. While initial medical assessments had predicted a three-week recovery period, his rehabilitation extended beyond that, with the BCCI medical team closely monitoring his progress.
