The celebrated composer said the opportunity is both humbling and historic, as it aligns with the 150-year milestone of the patriotic anthem Vande Mataram.

Announcing the development on social media, Keeravani shared that the composition has been created under the Ministry of Culture and will form a central part of the January 26 celebrations. The musical presentation will bring together nearly 2,500 performers drawn from different parts of the country, highlighting India’s cultural diversity through a unified patriotic theme.
Calling the project a tribute to the nation, Keeravani emphasised that the performance aims to capture the collective spirit of India and the enduring emotional power of Vande Mataram. The large-scale production is expected to be one of the major highlights of the parade.
As the countdown to Republic Day continues, preparations for the 77th edition of the parade are already in full motion. Practice sessions are underway at Kartavya Path in the national capital, where contingents, cultural troupes and performers are rehearsing for the ceremonial showcase.
This year’s celebrations will also carry international significance, with European Council President Antonio Luís Santos da Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen confirmed as the chief guests, underlining India’s strengthening diplomatic ties with the European Union.
