The film, an evocative Indo-French collaboration, tells the emotional story of two women navigating their complex lives. The film delves into themes of intimacy, desire, and self-discovery as the two women confront their emotional and personal challenges. All We Imagine as Light stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam in pivotal roles.
This remarkable co-production between Petit Chaos (France) and Chalk & Cheese and Another Birth (India) has already broken barriers earlier this year when it became the first Indian film in three decades to compete in the main section of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. There, it won the Grand Prix, further cementing its place in the spotlight of international cinema.
Kapadia’s latest achievement is historic not only for her but for Indian cinema. Earlier this week, All We Imagine as Light also earned recognition with two Golden Globe nominations: one for Best Motion Picture in a Non-English Language and another for Best Director (Motion Picture), making Kapadia the first Indian director to be nominated in this category.
