With the highly anticipated SEMICON India 2024 conference set to begin on Wednesday in Greater Noida, the Noida Traffic Police has issued an extensive traffic advisory to manage the expected surge in vehicular movement.
The three-day event will see a large VVIP presence, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will inaugurate the conference. The event will also feature over 250 exhibitors and 150 speakers, with major global semiconductor companies participating.
Taking to X (Formerly Twitter) PM Modi wrote announced that he will inaugurate SEMICON India 2024 on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. The event, aimed at positioning India as a global hub for semiconductors, will bring together key industry stakeholders. This year’s conference is centered around the theme “Shaping the Semiconductor Future.”

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police, through an announcement on X, alerted commuters about major diversions and route changes for September 11, 2024, to ensure smooth traffic flow during the high-profile conference. These disruptions are expected across key routes leading to Greater Noida.
Key Traffic Diversions:
Vehicles traveling from the Chilla Red Light to Greater Noida will be diverted at the Sector 14A flyover towards Sector 15 roundabout. Traffic from DND Expressway to Greater Noida will be rerouted at Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16, while those heading from Kalindi Kunj Border to Greater Noida will be redirected at Sector 37. Additionally, traffic from Sector 37 to Greater Noida will be diverted at Sector 44 roundabout to the double service road.
Traffic traveling from Noida to Jewar Toll will be redirected after Jewar Toll to Sobata underpass. Those commuting from Pari Chowk to Greater Noida West will need to take the Surajpur route. Similarly, vehicles from Surajpur to Pari Chowk will be rerouted to Sector 130. Traffic from P-3 Roundabout to Greater Noida West will be diverted at the roundabout towards Swarn Nagari.
Other diversions include rerouting traffic from Agra via Hindon Cut at Sector 151 to the double service road. Traffic traveling from Greater Noida to Noida via the expressway will be diverted at Char Murti roundabout towards Sector 94. Vehicles heading from GIP Mall via Film City flyover will be rerouted via the U-turn under the flyover, and traffic from Rajnigandha Chowk to DND will be diverted via DSC to Ashoka Nagar.
