During the ceremony, First Lady Melania Trump lauded the bravery and dedication of the Navy, recalling her 2018 visit to the USS George H.W. Bush. “It is an honour to be with you to celebrate the 250th year since the United States Navy was officially established. Generations of sailors have kept America free because of their presence on the high seas. Your strength, bravery, and sacrifice inspire us all. The President and I just attended an extraordinary demonstration, an inspiring display of skills that reflects the very best of our Navy,” she said, as shared by her office in a post on X.

President Trump also praised the Navy’s historic and ongoing contributions.

“Through the spray of raging combat and the fog of naval war, America’s sailors have proven time and again that our Navy does just the best job there is… We own the skies, we stalk the depths, and we RULE THE SEAS,” the White House shared on X.

CNN reported that Sunday’s event, dubbed “Titans of the Sea”, was designed to showcase the Navy’s cutting-edge fleet while inspiring the next generation of warriors to carry America’s strength across every ocean. The display included high-tech demonstrations and exercises, reflecting the Navy’s strategic capabilities and the skill of its sailors.
As the celebrations concluded, the event left a powerful impression of both tradition and innovation, reminding attendees of the Navy’s enduring mission: safeguarding the seas and ensuring freedom for generations of Americans.
