Kapil Sharma has finally spoken about the controversy surrounding the statement made by Navjot Singh Sidhu about the Pulwama attack which lead to his exit from the show, according to sources.
While at an event in Chandigarh Kapil shared that the focus should be on the problem at hand and not misleading hashtags like ‘#boycottKapilSharmaShow’ and ‘#boycottSidhu’. He also mentioned that there is a need to find a permanent solution rather than banning someone from a show.
Sidhu shared Kapil Sharma’s interview on his social media handle. In the interview to a channel he mentions, “There should be a permanent solution to this problem. If sacking Sidhu Ji was a solution, then Sidhu Ji is smart enough to walk out of the show himself. So, people are being misled with hashtags like ‘#BoycottSidhu’ and ‘#BoycottKapilSharmaShow’. Right now one should focus on the genuine problem and the attention of the youth should not be taken away from the real issue.”

Speaking about the ban on Pakistani artistes, Kapil said he supports the government but the idea is to find a solution and find the terrorists and make them pay for their cowardly act.
Sidhu had earlier made a statement about the Pulwama attack that terrorists have no religion and a nation and its people shouldn’t be held accountable for these dastardly acts. The fans immediately reacted and demanded Sidhu be sacked from ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ or they would boycott the show entirely. Sidhu clarified in another media interaction that his statements were taken out of context and he would stand with his country.
